Still Summer!

Amazing day in the garden with sunshine and lovely people, could easily mistake it for summer time. We celebrated Liz' birthday with her bean and chorizo stew and apple cake.
The dig for victory garden was prepared by taking out the grass so it's now ready for the year 6 children next week. There's still lots of weeding for them to do and plenty to be getting on with. Little Elsa did an amazing job carrying all the tufts of grass and pulling them up. She was even annoyed when we were finished. The rest of us were exhausted.
Madeleine planted garlic bulbs, Darren carved a Hawthorne spoon, Mmedo cut the grass, Paul cut wood, Kat moved the Rhubarbs and Liz took care of all the cooking...it was just le any other summer's day. May it last.
