New beds

Wow! Today we received the scaffolding planks for the last circular raised veg bed and for our hot bed. They will last for a while being super strong. Geoff, Duma, Liz and Jeanette were all on site when they arrived. After lunch we started on the first bed and as we had already cut and split the stakes it was quick to do. It looks nice already. We can recommend the technique. All you need is strong boards and stakes split in half. We used two stakes on the outside and one on the inside. The soil will do further to push the boards in position. The wood came from Brighton Wood recycling and cost £4.50/meter. Perhaps not the cheapest deal you could get but we like to support them and the boards are really good this time.
