June 2010

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since the last update. After the last public meeting in Bevendean a survey was circulated by the council to investigate peoples view of the project and the proposed site. The findings of the survey are positive as it suggests a number of mitigation measures that could be accepted by neighbours. Here are the links to the report:

Unfortunately, at the last decision making stage councillor Maria Caulfield still felt that there was too much resistance to the project. The current status is that the site behind the Scout hut is on hold while officers try to identify alternative sites in Bevendean. As a group, we are now waiting to hear back from the council regarding these alternatives. In the meanwhile, Maria Caulfield has agreed to meet the group to hear more about the proposal.
